This policy explains what data Shipreel collects, why, and what we do with it. Shipreel is operated from Paris, France. For privacy questions, email [email protected].
What we collect
- Waitlist email address. When you join the waitlist, we store the email address you submit and the timestamp.
- Repository data (during a render only). When you connect a GitHub repository, we use read-only access to clone it to an ephemeral runner for the duration of the render. The clone is deleted immediately afterward — we do not store your source code. We keep only the generated reel and its scene definition.
- Usage analytics. We use a self-hosted, privacy-friendly analytics tool (Umami) that records aggregate page views without cookies and without tracking you across other sites.
How we use it
- To send you a confirmation email and, when a beta slot opens, an invitation.
- To generate the reel you request from a connected repository.
- To understand, in aggregate, how the site is used so we can improve it.
We do not sell your data, and we do not use your email for unrelated marketing.
Who we share it with
We share data only with the processors needed to run the service:
- Resend — to send waitlist confirmation and invitation emails.
- Railway — application hosting.
- Cloudflare — content delivery and security.
- GitHub — repository access you explicitly authorize.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and you can object to its processing. To unsubscribe from the waitlist or delete your data, email [email protected] and we will action it promptly.
Data retention
We keep your waitlist email until you ask us to remove it or the waitlist is retired. Cloned repository data is deleted as soon as a render completes.
Changes
We may update this policy as Shipreel evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above.
